India, Oz to train in Mumbai ahead of ODIs


Mumbai: The Indian and Australia squads would be training for a few days at the Bandra-Kurla Complex ground of Mumbai Cricket Association before leaving for Vadodara for the opening match of the seven-ODI series on October 25.

"Both the teams would be having their practice sessions at the BKC," Cricket Board sources told PTI.

The Aussies are to land in Mumbai on October 20 afternoon.

While the Indian squad, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, are to assemble on October 20 and have their first session on that day, the Ricky Ponting-led Australian outfit would commence their preparations for the series the next day.

"The two teams would have their practice sessions at different times," Board sources added.

The first ODI, which was originally scheduled in Jaipur, would be held at Vadodara and is a day match.

The other matches are scheduled in Nagpur (Oct 28, D/N), Delhi (Oct 31, D/N), Mohali (Nov 2, D/N), Hyderabad (Nov 5, D/N), Guwahati (Nov 8, Day) and Mumbai (Nov 11, D/N).
