Bresnan: I Want To Be Like Flintoff

England all-rounder Tim Bresnan has stated he is "looking forward" to filling the boots of Andrew Flintoff, should he get the chance.

Bresnan, who currently bats at number eight, said he would "like a crack" at taking up a permanent role in the one-day international (ODI) team.

"If they want to shove me higher up in the order, I wouldn't disagree with that," he remarked.

The Yorkshireman added that he would "love" to be given more responsibility with the bat, having notched up 80 runs against Australia in the recent ICC Champions Trophy.

Currently featuring in the England squad for the ongoing tour in South Africa, the 24-year-old has been called up only once in the four ODI matches so far, with the final scheduled for Friday (December 4th) at Kingsmead.
