Johannesburg: New Zealand have called up medium-fast bowler James Franklin to replace injured Jacob Oram at the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa.
A 'Black Caps' spokesman said Oram pulled a hamstring and missed their opening Group B match which ended in a five-wicket loss to South Africa at Centurion Park on Thursday.
Franklin had been playing for Gloucestershire in the English county championship and shone with bat and ball against Kent, scoring an unbeaten 104 and taking 5-30 at Bristol.
